Patient Data: An 86 yr. old female with severe osteoarthritis and sciatica pain. The sciatica has been debilitating and she is allergic to all pain medications. Chiropractic care is no longer helpful and the doctors tell her there is nothing more they can do. The pain was causing some mild depression. Her disposition throughout her life has always been very good, and she has always had a very strong threshold for pain. (She had eight children). The sciatica really causes her to be bed-ridden.
History: At 78 yrs. the dog ran under her feet and she fell, hitting with her whole weight against the couch end on her shoulder. She broke her collar bone. Multi-compound fractures were discovered in her spine. Her recovery was slow and not has successful. She never totally regained her strength and her activity level was diminished significantly. The sciatica started in this period. After several attempts to take the pain meds with severe reaction she started taking high doses of ibuprofen. At this time I offered the patches.
Treatment: After 1 week of using the WHITEE Patches and LC Balancer, she was off all Ibuprofen and her pain became tolerable. She is about 75-80% improved in 1 ½ mo. and able to move and do the things she normally does.
Sciatic Pain Treatment Using Alternative Medicine
Sciatica (or sciatic neuritis) is a set of symptoms including pain that caused by the compression and/or irritation of lumbar nerves L4 or L5 or sacral nerves S1, S2 or S3, or the sciatic nerve itself. Such compression of the spinal nerve is from a spinal disc bulge or disc herniation, or from roughening, enlarging, and/or misaligning of the vertebrae (spondylolisthesis), or degenerated discs. The pain is felt in the lower back, buttock, and/or various parts of the leg and foot. Other symptoms of sciatica include numbness, muscular weakness, pins and needles or tingling and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. The symptoms are typically felt only on one side of the body.
To treat the sciatic pain, the underlined causes have to be resolved. The WHITEE Patch can be used to treat the disc problems including bulging, herniated discs, and degenerated discs that cause the sciatica by healing the disc injuries. The LC Balancer, an oral supplement, is also recommended to assist in achieving sustained results by improving microcirculation. Patients usually notice improvement in 8 days with 3-patch treatments and in 17 days with 6-patch treatments for severe conditions. For elderly patients with osteoporosis, however, it may take up to a full month. Treatment times range from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on conditions. Bulging Disc - 2 Week to 3 Month Program
A 2 week treatment (6 WHITEE Patches and 2 LC Balancers) is recommended for mild/moderate condition. Patient may experience total symptom elimination after 2 weeks. At the end of 1st and 2nd week of treatment, mechanical adjustments are recommended. For severe conditions (where the disc is on the verge of rupture), the same 3 month treatment as disc herniation is required. If there is no pain reduction with the herbal treatment and adjustment, a special exercise (available upon request) is recommended. Patient may expect a significant pain reduction after 24 hours with the recommended exercise.
Disc Herniation - 3 Month Program
A continuous 3 month treatment with the WHITEE Patches and LC Balancer in 3 treatment sessions is recommended. Each session takes 1 month and requires 6 WHITEE Patches (17 days on and 14 days off) and 4 LC Balancers. Patients should notice about 50% pain reduction after the 1st session. After the 2nd session, patients may experience 75% symptom elimination. With the 3rd session patient can achieve sustained pain relief. Heavy lifting or rigorous exercise should be avoided during the treatment.
Usage Information
WHITEE Patch: Keep it on for 48 hrs; take a 24 hr break before applying the next one. The tape is waterproof. To treat 1 or 2 discs requires Medium patches. To treat more than 2 discs, large patches are recommended.
LC Balancer: Take 1 teaspoon (5mL), 3 times a day. For improved taste, mix it with fruit juice or honey.
Precautions:
1) Avoid using ice or anti-inflammatory medications to reduce pain as they slow and interrupt the body’s repair processes.
2) Slight skin irritations have been observed in 50% chronic cases caused by the disposal of metabolic toxins at the skin. It usually lasts less than a week.
