More Great Information on Violet Protection:

UPF (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) And Motorcycle Wear

Consider an alternative to sunscreen, garmentsmade with UPF (Ultra Violet Protection Factor). They are very popularin sports like golfing, bicycling, surfing, swimming, hiking and thelist goes on. Some are designed to wick away sweat from the skinallowing you to remain cool even when the temperatures soar. While theyare popular for sports, the motorcycling community is being left out.Wearing long sleeves designed for surfing does not fit the style of themotorcyclist. Of course no one says you can't wear them, the brightwhite and pink, or white and teal for the ladies or bright blue for thegents, looks more like your heading for the beach instead on that ridethrough the country. In addition, they are very form fitting. Anyoverhang or dimple will be seen. If you are still interested, arecommendation is to order two sizes larger then you normally wouldwear. The same thing goes for bicycling shirts. These protective shirtsare indicative of the sport and a motorcyclist wearing this style wouldlook odd. A few shirts designed for golfing are not too bad but againthey are not designed for motorcycling. The clothing worn while ridinga motorcycle is important because of the high speeds. We all know whatit is like to wear loose fitting clothing. Either it rides up or beatsyou until your skin is sore. Eventually someone will take notice thatwe too want the protection and there is a market out there. Until thattime comes our choices are few. Our motorcycles also needprotection from the sun. The leather seats, saddlebags and anyaccessories can take a real beating if left uncovered for extendedperiods. There are many bike covers out there but some are good forboth keeping your bike dry and keeping the sun from deteriorating yourinvestment. Look for covers that have a heat shield around the bottomin case your pipes are still hot. Heavier and thicker is not alwaysbetter. Motorcycle covers made from a light polymer can be just aseffective and will be easier to store in your saddlebag with out takingup too much room. Ridingmotorcycles is a passion fueled by the wind, sun, rain and cold. Theterm "Biker" brings to mind confidence with style. Saddlebags packedwith sunscreen, leather jacket, biker vest, motorcycle chaps, rain suitand tool bag, are the answers for a long tour needed for all weather. The right motorcycle clothes at http://cool-riders.com speaks loud and clear, this rider has what it takes to be in control.

Use windex (geniec or store brand does not matter)?

I have these type of lens in my glasses

Slimlite ™

Thinner than plastic
Light weight
Shatter resistant
Ultra Violet protection acts like sunscreen for your eyes
Available in all lens prescriptions

But when I clean them with a lint free cloth and windex or all purpose cleaner it makes the lens get some sort of bubble like it's cracking/scratched.

Should I just stick with water cause the cleaner that they sell at the lens store cost 10.00 for small bottle

http://www.houreyes.com/lenses/lens-types.php

Hun you should really not use windex and especially not all purpose cleaner. Strong chemicals will damage the coatings on your lenses... and it sounds like they already did some damage! The coating should not be bubbled at all.... if you take them back to the store they may have some sympathy for you and replace your lenses. I do have a safe alternative that is cheaper and works great for cleaning glasses and it wont damage the coatings on your lenses. Get a clean spray bottle and fill it 3/4 with water, add a few squirts of a MILD dish detergent like Dawn and add a little bit of rubbing alcohol! Works like a charm! Once the AR coating is damaged there is nothing you can do to change that.... take them back to the store they may be able to strip off the coating... or maybe even replace the lenses if they are feeling generous!
Good luck with everything and in the future remember do not use windex or any cleaning products on your glasses it will ruin the coatings. :)
