I'm shooting wireless with three flashes but subject comes out too dark so why?
D80 Nikon...SB800 flash on Camera. Two SB600 flashes off camera. (Wireless) TTL. (I had to increase SB800 flash 1.3 stops on flash to make the subject look normal) Back ground look right on the mark. (Back ground lighted by two SB600 flashes)
What happen to the Nikon claim "Put it on TTL and let it go?" Also because of pre flashes one cannot metter the lights with a light meter.
Tell us more about how you shoot. How far the flash are from the subject, how far you are, your camera setting (aperture, ISO), do you bounce the flash off the ceiling (and how high the ceiling is), do you use diffuser or things like that.
From what I read here... I'm guessing that although the SB800 are able to communicate with your camera perfectly, the two SB600 can't and at this point you have to set it up manually and so you might want to put the SB600 a little bit farther from the background to compensate. Or well... increasing the SB800 doesn't sounds so bad either.
